Dear FACSS members, Please come to our annual member meeting and election to execute your rights as a member and enjoy the dinner social afterwards. 1.Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm, April 20, Friday, 2007 2.Location: Moos Tower 2-520 3. Agenda: (1). Report FACSS work for 2006-2007 and explain the duties of FACSS board officers (2). Announce election procedures (3). Elect the president for 2007-2008. The elected president will automatically become one of the Executive Committee members. (4). Elect 4 other Executive Committee members for 2007-2008. The Executive Committee will have 5 members in total and represent FACSS to perform the duties of executive power of intermal, foreign and financial affairs. (5). Social hour: Food and drink will be provided 4.Who can vote: members who register before April 10th, 2007. Please bring your U-Card or other picture ID to the meeting. Voting ballot will be given after ID verification. To register as a FACSS member, go to http://www.tc.umn.edu/%7Efacss/Facss/member/index.html 5. Executive Committee: Qualifications for the President and other Executive Committee members are (1) Must be a UMN student (2) Register as a FACSS member before April 10,2007 (3) Send the attached application form to facss@umn.edu before April 10,2007 with the title *candidate registration* Candidate information shall be announced to FACSS membership before April 13, 2007 by email list and by updating the FACSS website. 6. Board of officers: The FACSS Board include but are not limited to the Executive Committee members .Some officers may be not current U of M students and thus will NOT necessarily be elceted at the meeting. Please talk to the new president and other Executive Committee members right after the election if you are interested to offer help for FACSS.After the meeting, the President shall form the board of officers approved by the Executive Committee. Available positions for FACSS board officers include but are not limited to: vice president,secretary, treasurer, director of sports, director of movie show and director of technology. The basic duties of the officers are a. President: Supervise other board officers' work, Take in charge of FACSS big events, Preside over monthly board meetings and Act as the official representative of FACSS at other meetings and events b.Vice President: Act as the President when the President if not available and Take in charge of workshops. c.Secretary: Record minutes of monthly board meeting and Take in charge of new comers' emails. d.Treasurer:Raise fund and Maintain financial reports. e.Director of sports: Organize sports events at least three times a year f. Director of movie show: Provide and play the movie weekly on campus. g.Director of technology:Maintain and update FACSS website regularly for each FACSS event We appreciate your support.
